Bright Tuesday
Acts 2:14-21; Lk. 24:12-35
Back then the Jews sought to cover the light of the Resurrection of Christ with a foggy lie: “His disciples came by night and stole Him”[Mt. 28:13]. It was easy to dispel such a trifle and sustain the truth. But even until now the enemy is mounting clouds over the Sun of Resurrection, wishing to eclipse it.
Let no one wonder: what else but lies should be expected from the father of lie [Jn. 8:44]? He taught his henchmen to write whole books against the Resurrection. But this cloud of books has been cleared by other books. Don’t read bad books, and you will be safe from it; and if you stumble across such a book, take a good one as an antidote and freshen up your mind and heart.
Another kind of a cloud from the enemy might emerge right in your thoughts, but it also goes away like smoke in the wind from sober Christian discernment. Look at the historical past with careful discernment and see with absolute clarity that the Resurrection of Christ is the only possible cause for all that happened. That conclusion will then be for you a solid base, and standing upon it you will easily repel and defeat all the enemies of the truth.
