On May 21, 2025, the signing ceremony of the joint action plan of the university and the Belarusian Orthodox Church took place at the Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University in Minsk.
The signing of the agreement was attended by Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavsky and Rector of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University Alexander Zhuk.
As part of the implementation of the action plan, joint conferences, seminars, and round tables will be held. It is also planned to expand volunteer and charitable activities to help the elderly, the disabled, and children in difficult situations.
Before signing the agreement, the Patriarchal Exarch noted: "We have very diverse areas of work with students, since young people are creative people who are looking for different uses of their strengths and capabilities. Along with receiving a good education, including pedagogical education, it is very important that young people learn more about the spiritual laws that have been formed over many centuries in our people and passed down from generation to generation. It is very important for us to preserve this and pass it on to future generations in the current, modern, raging world."
In turn, Alexander Zhuk emphasized: "The spiritual, moral and patriotic education of the younger generation, the strengthening of family values are a priority in our society and the state, therefore our cooperation in training future teachers to solve these tasks is very important. We have good traditions of cooperation. We are working closely on the formation of family values among young people during the implementation of the republican project "Parent University", which is being held with the participation of representatives of the Church. The cooperation of the family, teachers and the Church is important in the formation of the spiritual and moral qualities of the younger generation. We are confident that the plan of our cooperation will contribute to the formation of spiritual and moral qualities, citizenship and patriotism among future teachers as the most important components of their readiness to teach and educate the younger generation of our country."
