The wooden Church of the Nativity of Christ in the village of Rudne-Nikitskoye Orekhovo-Zuevsky city district is awaiting restoration, the press service of the main Department of Cultural Heritage of the Moscow region reported on Monday.


"A permit has been issued to carry out restoration work on the object of cultural heritage of federal significance "Ensemble, XVIII century.: Church of the Nativity of Christ (wooden), the beginning of the XVIII century.", - the message says.


During the work, it is planned to restore the facades and interiors of the church. The deadlines for the work are not specified.
The wooden Church of the Nativity of Christ was built in 1781. In the first half of the XIX century, a covered porch was added to the western facade of the refectory. Later, in the second half of the XIX century, the completion of the temple was redone, two symmetrical rooms were erected, a brick basement was brought under the building. The iconostasis existing in the temple belongs to the same time. The details of the facade decoration are made in the forms of late classicism.
