Participants of the large forum "Museum Days on Amur", which is taking place these days in Khabarovsk, museum workers from various cities of Russia, visited the cathedral in honor of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Birobidzhan.
The guests learned about the sights of the cathedral compound, about the new icon of the Theotokos of Kuldur and its iconography, about the new martyrs of the Birobidzhan diocese, revealed and not revealed, about the history of the cathedral and its shrines. We looked at the unique porcelain and faience iconostasis in the lower temple, and received icons depicting the Mother of God of Kuldura from the hands of the cathedral's clerk in memory of the excursion. The tourists thanked for the interesting story and congratulated the employees of the cathedral on the patronal holiday.
The forum of museum workers of Russia is dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the main museum of the Khabarovsk Territory named after Gorodekov. A strategic session on the development of museums in the Far East is taking place within the framework of the forum.
