The Holy Fire will be delivered to Moscow from Jerusalem by the Roscosmos Sergey Korolev aircraft. This was reported by the St. Andrew the First-Called Foundation, whose delegation annually transports Easter fire from the Holy Land.

The Holy Fire from the Church of the Resurrection of Christ will arrive in Russia on April 19. Representatives of various dioceses will be able to receive him at Vnukovo Airport.

"A wide meeting of the Holy Fire is not expected. The delegation of the St. Andrew the First—Called Foundation will bring the Holy Fire to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior during the Patriarchal Easter Service," the foundation said.

The lamps will be brought to 15 more churches in the capital. Everyone will be able to light their lamps there during Holy Week.

The Holy Fire will be brought to other cities of Russia. These include Arkhangelsk, Volgograd, Yekaterinburg, Ivanovo, Kazan, Kursk, Murmansk, Rostov-on-Don, Yaroslavl and St. Petersburg.
