The diocesan humanitarian center "Mercy", located on the territory of the Panteleimon Temple, received humanitarian aid – food for those in need – from the All-Russian charitable food Fund "Rus".
The Rus Foundation was founded in 2012. It is Russia's first "food bank" or "food bank" and provides food assistance to socially vulnerable segments of the population throughout Russia.
Residents of the city of Orsk also continue to provide financial and material assistance to the victims. They delivered 1 ton of household soap and 30 boxes of wet wipes to the diocesan Center of Orchana.
On April 12, Archpriest Vyacheslav Kochkin, head of the diocesan department for Church Charity and Social Service, together with volunteers, purchased 150 sets of underwear, 8 mattresses, pillows, blankets and bedding sets for the victims staying in two temporary accommodation facilities. Disposable tableware was also purchased (1000 pieces of deep plates, large spoons and cups each) to distribute food to those in need who seek help at the Mercy center, since there is no water in the neighborhood.
Drinking water in containers was also delivered from the monastery of the Iversky convent, which is located in the village of Kherson in the Gaysky district.
Volunteers of the diocesan center "Mercy" began to form packages with household chemicals for distribution to those in need.
Archpriest Vyacheslav Kochkin thanks all the donors and volunteers for their help.
