On October 14, 2024, a ceremony will be held in Ulan-Ude, the capital of the Republic of Buryatia, to transfer an antique bell, discovered during the demolition of buildings in the historic city center, to the Ulan-Ude and Buryatia Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church. The event will take place at the Odigitrievsky Cathedral, with the participation of Metropolitan Joseph of Ulan-Ude and Buryatia and Mayor Igor Shutenkov.

The bell was found during the demolition of old buildings in central Ulan-Ude, after which Metropolitan Joseph inspected the artifact and requested that it be handed over to the Church. Following a recent meeting between city officials and diocesan representatives, it was decided that the bell will undergo restoration, including repairs to its "ears and clapper."

Plans are in place to install the bell on a special bell tower to be constructed at one of Ulan-Ude's churches. The bell will be accessible to residents, tourists, and pilgrims, who will not only be able to see it but also hear its chimes.
