At a meeting of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church held on March 20, 2025, Metropolitan Panteleimon of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk, the head of the Krasnoyarsk Archdiocese, considered the petition for his retirement for health reasons.
The meeting participants decided to grant the petition and express gratitude to Metropolitan Panteleimon for his long-term management of the Krasnoyarsk Archdiocese.
The place of retirement for Metropolitan Panteleimon is the Krasnodar Territory, at the place of permanent registration of His Eminence, with maintenance from the Krasnoyarsk Diocesan Administration.
His Grace Nikita of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk, head of the Krasnoyarsk Archdiocese, was appointed Bishop of Kozelsky and Ludinovsky, with his release from the administration of the Kozel diocese and an expression of gratitude for his labors.
The interim administration of the Kozel diocese is entrusted to Metropolitan Clement of Kaluga and Borovsk.
