On June 12, Patriarch Kirill congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on Russia Day. The congratulatory message, published on the official website of the Russian Orthodox Church, emphasized the importance of active citizenship, patriotic dedication, and adherence to traditional spiritual and moral values as key factors for Russia's successful development, well-being, and prosperity.

Patriarch Kirill expressed his gratitude to President Putin for his consistent support of the Russian Orthodox Church’s activities, including its educational and social projects. He also expressed hope for the continued fruitful cooperation between the Church and the state.

"I am deeply grateful to you for your unwavering support of the ministry of the Russian Orthodox Church and your attention to its projects, which have significant educational and social value. I hope that the continuation of our established church-state cooperation will bring many more good fruits, contributing to the affirmation of traditional spiritual and moral foundations in people's lives, and to the strengthening of peace and harmony," wrote the Patriarch.

President Vladimir Putin also congratulated Patriarch Kirill on Russia Day, noting that by remaining true to its roots and origins, Russia will overcome any challenges.

"For centuries, our ancestors faithfully served the motherland, building a great state with their labor achievements, military feats, talent, and inspiration. We follow these unshakable moral guidelines, traditions of patriotism, and sincere love for the Fatherland," said President Putin in his telegram.
