On the feast of the 300th anniversary of the transfer of the relics of the Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky to St. Petersburg, on September 12, 2024, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, after the Liturgy at the Annunciation Church of the Holy Trinity Alexander Nevsky Lavra, led a procession with the relics of the Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky from the Annunciation Church to Alexander Nevsky Square.
Participants of the citywide festive procession also arrived at the square, who followed Nevsky Prospekt from the Kazan Cathedral. In addition to the traditional procession along Nevsky Prospekt from the Kazan Cathedral to the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, a procession along the Neva was organized for the first time. He walked from the Oreshek fortress to the Sinopskaya embankment. It was by water that the relics of the Heavenly Patron of the city were brought to the Lavra three centuries ago. There was also a passage of a column of one hundred motorcyclists and a group of riders, participants of the Alexandrova Doroga equestrian campaign, who participated in the historical reconstruction of Prince Alexander Nevsky's squad.
Upon the arrival of the procession from the Annunciation Church, the holy relics of the holy prince were installed on a special platform with a canopy.
The Primate of the Russian Church performed a prayer service and read a prayer to the blessed Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky.

A solemn march of the honor guard company and the military band took place and the participants of the special military operation were honored.
With the bells ringing, the ark with the relics of the blessed Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky was transferred to the Annunciation Church of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra.
According to tradition, on Alexander Nevsky Day, a commemorative flower garland was laid at the graves of the knights of the Order of Alexander Nevsky at the Nikolsky Lavra Cemetery.
