On November 5, 2024, Serbian Patriarch Porfirije hosted a meeting with a delegation of representatives from Russian church media at the Patriarchal Palace in Belgrade. Attendees included Vaktang Kipsidze, Deputy Chairman of the Synodal Department for Public Relations and Media of the Moscow Patriarchate, and Alexei Sokolov, the editor-in-chief of the Orthodox magazine "Foma," as reported by the website of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

During the meeting, the Russian journalists shared insights about the media activities of the Russian Orthodox Church, highlighting the growing significance of modern platforms—particularly the internet and social media—over traditional media such as print publications and television. The participants exchanged experiences and expressed a mutual desire to deepen cooperation in church mission activities.

The delegation also introduced the Patriarch to the magazine "Foma," the largest Orthodox publication in Russia, founded in 1996 and focused on issues of faith and the Church's role in society. The magazine is published with a circulation of 25,000 copies and is distributed in Russian Orthodox churches, while its website attracts up to 15 million visitors monthly.

The meeting was attended by several representatives from Serbian church media, including Protopresbyter George Stoislavljevic, Head of the Serbian Patriarch’s Office; Dusan Stokanovic, Director of the Information and Publishing Institution of the Serbian Orthodox Church; Maria Markina, "Foma's" representative in Serbia; Sergey Stamat, a staff member of "Foma"; and Olivera Jovanovic, Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper "Orthodoxy," along with Miljan Nikitovic, an official from the Patriarch’s Office.
