On April 15, 2024, the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Konstantin of Zaraisk, met with the Adviser to the President of Malawi on Religious Affairs, Pastor Brian Kamwendo, at the State Residence in the capital of Malawi, Lilongwe.

The event was attended by Natasha Nalikungwi, Secretary General of the Presidential Program for the Support of Religious Leaders, Pastor Edward Tembo, moderator of the Nhoma Synod (Presbyterian Church of Central Africa), Professor David Kamchacha.

Earlier that day, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malawi, the hierarch met with the Chief Secretary for International Relations, Dr. Mwaiiwawo Polepole, the website of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa reports.
During the talks, Metropolitan Konstantin spoke about the activities of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Africa, including humanitarian and educational projects. Further prospects for the development of the Exarchate's mission in Malawi were outlined.

Representatives of the Malawian authorities stressed that they positively assess the appearance of the Russian Orthodox Church in this country, which is open to all faiths.
