The newly formed parish of the Church of the Introduction to the Temple of the Most Holy Theotokos in the Kurortny Gorodok microdistrict in Adler celebrated its first patronal feast on December 4. Exactly a year ago, activities on the formation of an Orthodox parish and the construction of a temple began in an abandoned wasteland.
Over the past time, much has been accomplished for parish and liturgical life. The territory has been cleared, a room for worship has been built, and the first stage of assembling a wooden church for a full-fledged liturgical life is being completed. The Divine Liturgy is celebrated weekly.
Many Orthodox residents of the neighborhood have found their spiritual home in the new parish. The celebration of the patronal celebrations was led by Archpriest Dionysius Marchuk, Secretary of the diocesan administration, dean of the Adler Church District, rector of the parish of the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity of the Adler district.
At the end of the service, all those who came were offered treats of the parish.
