On the 27th Week of Pentecost, December 14, 2025, Metropolitan Nikander of Vladimir and Suzdal celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Bogolyubsky Convent in the village of Bogolyubovo, Vladimir region.
The hegumens and abbesses of the three dioceses of the Vladimir Metropolitan Area prayed during the divine service. The hymns were performed by the bishop's choir under the direction of regent Roman Klimentovsky.
At the end of the Liturgy, the bishops consecrated the icon of the Great Martyr Demetrius of Thessalonica, painted in the icon-painting workshop of the Bogolyubsky Monastery for the Kazan Church in Vladimir.
On the same day, Metropolitan Nikander chaired the first congress of hegumens and abbesses of monasteries of the Vladimir Metropolitan Area, dedicated to the theme "Eucharistic life in modern monasteries."
During the meeting, six reports prepared by representatives of the male and female monasticism of each diocese of the metropolis were heard.
After the speeches, a general discussion took place, during which the participants exchanged experiences and practices of liturgical and monastic life.
