A meeting of the Commission on the Harmonization of Interethnic and Interreligious Relations of the Presidential Council for Cooperation with Religious Associations was held in the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation under the chairmanship of the head of the Synodal Department for Church-Society Relations and the Media, V.R. Legoyda.
During the meeting, issues related to the preparation of various events in 2025 were discussed: the Forum of Russian Identity, the International Interreligious Youth Forum, the Religion and Peace Forum, the 100 Dates of Russian Identity project, and others. In addition, the issues of the participation of religious organizations of Russia in the celebration of the national holiday — National Unity Day were discussed.
The discussion was attended by members of the commission and invited participants: representatives of state authorities, the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, Russian religious associations and experts.
On the part of the Russian Orthodox Church, the meeting was also attended by the head of the diocesan Relations Department of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs, Priest Vasily Rodionov, the head of the Department for Work with government Structures of the Synodal Department for Church Relations with Society and the Media, P.V. Lebedev, and a specialist of this department, P.A. Ovsyannikov.
