Bishop Yevgeny of Yekaterinburg and Verkhotursky attended the grand opening of the new building of the St. Elizabeth Monastery of Mercy, where they will take care of seriously ill and people with limited mobility around the clock. The new building of the Monastery has 27 rooms for 50 wards, a rehabilitation area – massage and physiotherapy rooms, a hall of therapeutic physical culture, a kitchen, dining rooms and nursing rooms. The construction project was implemented with the support of the founders of the St. Catherine Foundation.
The wards of St. Elizabeth's Monastery of Mercy in Yekaterinburg are people who are partially or completely paralyzed after strokes, heart attacks, who have suffered serious injuries, fractures or suffering from cerebral palsy.
For 15 years, the St. Elizabeth Monastery was located on the ground floor of an apartment building. The construction of a new Care Center for seriously Ill People began in February 2022 with the support of the founders of the St. Catherine Foundation. Currently, the building is ready, and the area around it is landscaped.
The monastery is located on the shore of Lake Shartash in Yekaterinburg. The two–storey center is adapted for people with limited mobility, it has 27 rooms for 50 people, a rehabilitation area - massage and physiotherapy rooms, a hall of physical therapy, a kitchen, dining rooms and nursing rooms.
