On February 4, a ceremonial evening dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the "Logos" spiritual and educational project was held at Gymnasium No. 11 in Minsk, named after I. D. Chernyakhovsky, as reported by the website of the Belarusian Orthodox Church.
The project was launched in 2005 as part of a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Education of Belarus and the Belarusian Orthodox Church. With the blessing of Metropolitan Filaret, the gymnasium introduced an elective course, "Spiritual Foundations of Culture," which has since expanded into a resource center for spiritual and moral education.
The ceremonial event was led by Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavl. Among the guests were government officials, educators, public figures, and distinguished alumni. A thanksgiving prayer service was held in the chapel of the People’s Museum of the Liberation of Belarus.
The project's founder, Fr. Svyatoslav Rogalsky, noted that more than ten educational institutions have already adopted the Logos experience. The program includes meetings with teachers and parents, educational trips, spiritual discussions, and participation in charitable initiatives.
For its contribution to the project’s development, the gymnasium received a Certificate of Honor from the Patriarchal Exarch, and awards from the Belarusian Orthodox Church were presented. The evening concluded with a performance by the choir of Minsk's Holy Spirit Cathedral.
