On December 16, 2025, the annual final Diocesan meeting of Moscow was held in the Cathedral Hall of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, under the chairmanship of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, who is the ruling bishop of the Mother See of Moscow. 
Also present at the meeting were: Rector of the Russian Orthodox University of St. Nicholas. St. John the Theologian A.V. Shchipkov; Deputy Chairman of the Synodal Department for Church-Society Relations and the Media V.V. Kipshidze; Acting General Director of the Sofrino Art Production Enterprise of the Russian Orthodox Church V.A. Levin.
His Holiness Patriarch Kirill then presented the annual report.
Having announced the statistical data for the Moscow (city) diocese for 2025, His Holiness listed the names of the clergy of the diocese, the monks and nuns of Stavropol monasteries who had reposed to the Lord since the last diocesan meeting. The audience sang "Eternal Memory" to the deceased. 
The primate spoke about the main events of church life and provided an overview of his activities in 2025. 
At the suggestion of His Holiness, many years were celebrated to His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufry of Kiev and All Ukraine, Metropolitan Arseny of Svyatogorsk, other archpastors, as well as pastors, monastics and laity of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church who are suffering persecution for their faith. 
At the end of the report, His Holiness answered the questions of the participants of the meeting.
Then Metropolitan Gregory of Voskresensk made a report on the activities of the Diocesan Council in 2025.
Reports were also presented during the meeting.:
• Archpriest Igor Fomin, Chairman of the Commission for Catechesis and Support of the Internal Mission, on the activities of the commission;
• Chairman of the Commission on Sunday School Activities, Priest Alexander Narushev — on the activities of the commission;
• Head of the Legal Department of the Moscow Patriarchate, Abbess Xenia (Chernegi), on changes in legislation.
Archbishop Savva of Zelenograd, Chairman of the editorial committee, announced the draft final document of the Diocesan Assembly. After making the changes, the final document was adopted.
In conclusion, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia thanked all the participants of the meeting for their fruitful work.
