A charity concert will be held in the Great Hall of the Meridian Cultural Center in Moscow on March 20, 2025 at 19.00 with the participation of the Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service. Graduates of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music and representatives of the Operlab creative association will perform at the event. The funds raised at the concert will be used to help injured civilians in the conflict zone and on the border territories.
The concert will feature works by Sergei Prokofiev, Alexander Scriabin, Pyotr Tchaikovsky and other Russian composers for piano and accordion, as well as vocal compositions and scenes from operas by Mozart, Bellini, Verdi and Bizet.
The Russian Orthodox Church has been helping the victims since the first days of the armed conflict. In Russia, the Church has collected, purchased and transferred more than 3,900 tons of humanitarian aid to refugees and injured civilians. More than 3,000 volunteers traveled to the conflict zone to help the victims. Church aid centers have been set up in Kursk, Belgorod, Donetsk, Mariupol and other cities, which have already received more than 300,000 requests from victims.
