A 50-meter cross was demolished in Nagorno-Karabakh

On September 29, 2023, a 50-meter cross, which was the second largest in Europe, was demolished in Nagorno–Karabakh - the Union of Orthodox Journalists quoted the message of former People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Igor Mosiychuk. He posted a video showing military helicopters flying against the background of a standing cross, and two hours later he was already lying on the ground. Mosiychuk wrote that the cross was demolished by Azerbaijani troops.

The cross near Stepanakert was erected in 2017 by Armenians in memory of the defenders of Nagorno-Karabakh. At night it glowed and was visible for many kilometers.
