On the day of special veneration of the icon of the Mother of God "The Sign", December 10, the assistant dean of the Nagorny District for physical culture and sports, Priest Sergiy Solovyov, visited the Nizhny Novgorod martial arts club "Russian Knight".
The priest performed a prayer service for the beginning of a good deed in connection with the upcoming boxing competitions. The club's senior coach Igor Sharov, coach Oleg Litvinenko and the club's students took part in a joint prayer.
At the end of the prayer service, the dean's assistant blessed the athletes and mentors to participate in the competitions, sprinkled each with holy water.
Priest Sergiy Solovyov told the audience about the beginning of the Christmas fast, wished the children spiritual growth and new sports victories for the benefit of their native Fatherland.
