Churches in the north of the Perm Region are being prepared for restoration, Novy Kompagnon reports.
This was stated by the head of the State Inspectorate for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of the Perm Region, Anna Knyazeva, at a meeting of the government of the Perm Region on February 13.
According to Anna Knyazeva, the oldest wooden church in the Urals, built in the 17th century in the village of Pyantega in the Cherdyn district, has already been restored. In 2025, it is planned to complete the landscaping of the territory around the temple. The restoration of the beautiful building of merchant Lunegov's almshouse has been completed – the Cherdyn Children's Art School is now located there.
Restoration work is underway on two more significant cultural heritage sites in this territory: the building of the poorhouse in the village of Nyrob and the Resurrection Cathedral in Cherdyn, famous for its tall bell tower.
In addition, experts are already developing project documentation for the restoration of three famous churches of the Cherdyn district in Vilgort, Kamgort and Bondyuga.
