With the blessing of Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan, the social department of the Alma-Ata diocese has collected and sent a large batch of humanitarian aid to Uralsk, which will be transferred to the victims of the flooding.
In the capital of Western Kazakhstan, a cargo of food and hygiene items was received by members of the Orthodox youth club "Agni Parfene" under the leadership of the dean of the Ural District, Archpriest Vladimir Garasim. Bishop Vianor of Ural and Atyrau arrived to support the volunteers.
The social department of the Ural Diocese continues to provide assistance to those in need with the blessing of the ruling bishop. The volunteers pay special attention to the purchase of food packages, bottled water, clothing, household chemicals, and personal hygiene items.
The clergy and ordinary believers who participate in eliminating the consequences of river flooding, work with evacuated residents of the region in temporary accommodation, spiritually, morally and financially support the victims do not stand aside.
Currently, the chairman of the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan Andrey Zaozerov, the General director of the Uralsknews website Inessa Toboleva and the chairmen of garden associations are forming lists of people in need for the distribution of assistance.
