"Currently, every delivery of humanitarian aid is a difficult undertaking, which requires thorough preparation. Many highways are being shelled, with trucks being priority targets," comments Deacon Igor Kulikov, Director of the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission. — We have to deliver goods in small batches. Each route is checked and adjusted right during the delivery."
Currently, the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission is working together with the Government of the Donetsk People's Republic, the Ministries of Social Protection of the Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, the People's Front and local dioceses to prepare for the winter season. Given the regular enemy attacks on energy infrastructure, many settlements are deprived of electricity and gas. Local residents are already experiencing an urgent need for heating and cooking facilities.
A collection for emergency assistance to residents of Donbass during the cold weather has been opened on the "Let's Help" platform.
