On the 18th Week after Pentecost, on October 4, 2026, the Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavl, co-served by Bishop George of Pinsk and Luninetsky, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Intercession Cathedral in the city of Baranovichi. The visit by the Patriarchal Exarch of the Pinsk Diocese was timed to coincide with the 95th anniversary of the cathedral's consecration.
Upon the dismissal of the Divine Liturgy, Bishop George of Pinsk and Luninetsky addressed the Patriarchal Exarch with a welcoming speech, who congratulated the archpastor on the holiday and thanked him for the archpastoral visit and the joint divine service.
Metropolitan Veniamin congratulated everyone on the holiday, as well as on the significant date. "This anniversary is a celebration not only of the temple, but also of each of us,— the Patriarchal Exarch noted. - 95 years ago, our ancestors set an example of strong faith and love for God. And our task today is to preserve this spiritual continuity, to bring goodness, mercy and peace to the world, and to strengthen the bond of generations." In memory of the visit, Metropolitan Veniamin donated an icon of the Mother of God to the cathedral.
The rector of the Cathedral, Archpriest Alexander Dzichkovsky, also greeted the Patriarchal Exarch, who congratulated Metropolitan Veniamin on his holiday and presented His Eminence with a gift. The Patriarchal exarch donated a set of books to the clergyman.
Protodeacon Andrey Gorbunov, head of the Pinsk Diocese's missionary department and cleric of the Cathedral of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos in Baranovichi, was awarded the medal of the Order of St. Euphrosyne of Polotsk for his efforts for the benefit of the Mother Church. The medals of St. Blessed Valentina of Minsk were awarded to Svetlana Dzichkovskaya, the wife of the rector of the cathedral, and the believers who actively participate in the life of the parish.
In conclusion, the Patriarchal Exarch congratulated all the communicants on receiving the Holy Mysteries of Christ and gave the archpastoral blessing. Then His Holiness Kirill, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, the bishops, the clergy and all those who came to the celebrations were proclaimed many years.
