A meeting of the Commission on Theological Education of the World Council of Churches (WCC) was held at the Bosse Institute (Switzerland) from October 4-9, 2026. The commission was attended by Professor of the Department of Church History of the Moscow Theological Academy, Associate Professor of the Department of Church History and Church Law of the United Church Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies, Priest Anthony Borisov.
During the plenary sessions and thematic discussions, Father Anthony presented the Orthodox point of view on the nature of theological education, pointed out the need to remain faithful to the ancient Church tradition and to avoid the temptation to replace traditional biblical terminology with questionable secular concepts.
Priest Anthony Borisov also took part in the celebration on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Bosse Institute, where representatives of the Local Orthodox Churches studied and are studying, and handed over to the dean of the Institute, Priest Lawrence Ivamadi, a congratulatory address from Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the Department for External Church Relations of the Moscow Patriarchate.
