On April 8, 2026, the International News Agency Rossiya Segodnya hosted a press conference dedicated to the upcoming Easter holiday. The holiday is set in memory of the most important event in history, from the point of view of a Christian, the Resurrection of the Son of God from the dead. The victory over death that the Lord has won is total, absolute. Easter is the beginning of eternal life, which God grants to everyone who believes in Him and follows His covenant," Bishop Silouan said during a press conference.
At the press conference, they also talked about what charity events and events the Church organizes for those in need in the capital and in other regions, as well as in the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions.
"We need to get out of our homes and help those who are having a particularly difficult time right now," said Archpriest Mikhail Potokin. — Many people are in a difficult life situation: someone has ended up in a nursing home, someone has lost their home or is seriously ill. We need to remove the invisible glass separating us and say, 'We know it's hard for you, but we want to share this holiday, this meal of joy and love with you.'"
