On September 9, 2026, the stay of the right hand of St. Spyridon of Trimifunt in Khabarovsk ended. The bringing of the shrine from the Greek island of Corfu is carried out with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia.
The Ark was delivered to Khabarovsk on September 7.
On September 8, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Transfiguration Cathedral at the relics of St. Spyridon of Trimifunt, which was led by Metropolitan Artemiy of Khabarovsk and Amur.
Pilgrims from Magadan, Yakutia, Sakhalin, Blagoveshchensk, Chita, the Jewish Autonomous Region, Primorye, and other regions of the Far East prayed in the temple. More than 2,000 people attended the service.
On the same day, a regular meeting of the Council of Bishops of the Amur Archdiocese was held under the chairmanship of Metropolitan Artemy. The Council was attended by Bishop Aristarchus of Vanino and Pereyaslav, Bishop Nikolai of Amur and Chegdomyn, Bishop Panteleimon of Bikinsky, and Hieromonk Nikolai (Belozerov), Secretary of the Council.
The first and main issue on the agenda, in addition to current issues, was the discussion of the stay of the right hand of St. Spyridon of Trimifunt within the Khabarovsk diocese. The bishops summed up the preliminary results of the first days of the offering of the relics, noting the unprecedented spiritual uplift among the faithful and the huge number of pilgrims who arrived in Khabarovsk from various regions of the Far East. The hierarchs also discussed the organizational issues of the ark's stay at the cathedral and the coordination of the efforts of the dioceses of the archdiocese in the service of the shrine.
On the night of September 8-9, the nightly Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Transfiguration Cathedral, which was led by Bishop Macarius of Nerchinsk and Krasnokamensk.
At the end of the service, the bishop addressed the audience.: "Dear brothers and sisters, I cordially congratulate you on this great, wonderful holiday in the Khabarovsk land, in the land of the Far East. In a special way, Saint Spyridon, who is revered by the entire Orthodox world, is here among us today. Very few cities have been honored by St. Spyridon with his great presence, and among them is the city of Khabarovsk. I thank your ruling bishop, Metropolitan Artemy of Khabarovsk and Amur Region, for the opportunity to pray before the miraculous relics of this great saint of God. Of course, we would also like to thank Metropolitan Nectarius of Kerkyra, without whom none of this would have happened. And, of course, our dear and gracious father, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. Indeed, it is a special day, or a special night, when there is such joy in the soul and in the heart."
All those present in the church venerated the relics of St. Spyridon of Trimifunt and received icons as a souvenir with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill.
On September 9, a series of divine services dedicated to the stay of the ark with the relics of St. Spyridon in Khabarovsk ended with a solemn prayer service at the Transfiguration Cathedral. The prayer service was performed by Hieromonk Nikolai (Belozerov), Secretary of the Khabarovsk Diocese, and Archimandrite Christodoulos (Triantaphilos).
Then the shrine was taken to Chelyabinsk, where it will remain until September 11.
About 25,300 people worshiped the shrine during the ark's stay in the capital of the Khabarovsk Territory.
The shrine will remain in Russia until September 20: September 12-13 — Yekaterinburg, September 13-14 — Vladimir, September 15-20 — Moscow.
