With the blessing of Archbishop Roman of Yakutsk and Lena, a regular meeting of the Youth of the Yakutsk Diocese Orthodox movement took place on August 2, 2026, in the building of the Inter-Diocesan Training Center for Church Specialists.
The event began with a joint prayer, after which Hieromonk Zinovy (Rusakov), head of the diocesan Youth Affairs Department, held a spiritual and moral conversation on the topic: "Love, infatuation and marriage: how to distinguish falling in love from true love."
Based on the Holy Scriptures and the patristic heritage, the priest helped the children figure out how sacrificial love differs from fleeting love, and also revealed the official position of the Church on the issue of premarital relations and chastity.
The young people asked questions and shared their thoughts. The meeting ended with a tea party and an intellectual board game.

This is not merely a personal jubilee, but a date of profound significance for the fullness of the Church as a whole, because episcopal consecration is the moment of assuming a special responsibility for the people of God and a witness to the Church’s fidelity to apostolic succession. The calling of the future Primate to episcopal ministry was formally established by a resolution of the Holy Synod in early March 1976; on the eve of the consecration, the rite of nomination took place, and on March 14—on the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy—at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra, Archimandrite Kirill (Gundyaev), rector of the Leningrad theological schools, was consecrated Bishop of Vyborg.

Exactly 50 years ago, on March 13, 1976, at the Church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian at the Leningrad Theological Academy, the rite of nomination took place; and on the following day, March 14, the First Sunday of Great Lent, the Feast of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, during the Divine Liturgy at the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra in Leningrad, the episcopal consecration of Archimandrite Kirill — the future Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus’ — was performed. The service was presided over by the ever-memorable Metropolitan Nikodim (Rotov), whom His Holiness Patriarch Kirill calls his spiritual mentor and teacher.
