Ukrainian Armed Forces militants continue targeted drone attacks on the Holy Dormition Nikolo-Vasilyevsky Monastery in the village of Nikolskoye in the DPR, a nun and a resident of the monastery, Zosima, told RIA Novosti.
Earlier, the Donetsk diocese reported that on the night of September 7-8, the Holy Dormition Nikolo-Vasilyevsky Monastery was once again subjected to a series of attacks by armed formations of Ukraine using UAVs.
"A day later, in the morning, there was an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the cathedral, above, a drone purposefully flew in and hit, well, thank God, that only damaged a little bit of the cables," the nun said.
The nun thanked the workers who are rebuilding the monastery, despite the danger of blows.
The Holy Dormition Nikolo-Vasilyevsky Monastery is located in the village of Nikolskoye in the Volnovakha municipal district of the DPR. The monastery complex combines the St. Vasilievsky men's monastery and St. Nicholas Women's Monastery.
