With the support of the Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service in Lisichansk (LNR), a family creative workshop "Dobraya Gornitsa" has started working at the church in honor of St. Mitrofan of Voronezh. The project is aimed at supporting the family, strengthening child-parent relations and creating a space for joint leisure.
Classes in the creative workshop are held for small groups up to twice a week. Under the guidance of professional specialists, families with children prepare, sing, do needlework and arts and crafts.
"There is often not enough contact between parents and children, so the goal of the project is to ensure that parents and children spend more time together and communicate. Master classes help strengthen family ties and make children friends with each other," said Daria Tkach, project manager. "Thanks to the family workshop, adults and children begin to understand each other better."
The project became one of the winners of the second grant competition for church projects to support family, motherhood, fatherhood and childhood, which was held by the Synodal Department for Charity. 200,000 rubles were allocated for its implementation. The funds were used to purchase furniture, materials and equipment for various workshops, as well as to pay for the work of specialists.
The second competition of church family projects was held by the Synodal Department for Charity from April 16 to May 3. It received 53 applications from various regions of the country. After consideration by the competition committee, 24 winners were determined.
