The Synodal Department for Church Charity and Social Service has handed over seven portable power plants and a set of solar panels for families who are raising children with serious illnesses and are being accompanied by the Crimean Children's Hospice. The families also received targeted support. The assistance was provided within the framework of the Professionals 2.0 project, implemented by the Synodal Department for Charity with the support of the Presidential Grants Foundation.
Portable power plants are essential for children who need respiratory support. During power outages, the devices ensure uninterrupted operation of ventilators, as well as oxygen concentrators, aspirators, and other vital medical equipment. Solar panels make it possible to charge stations even in the absence of a centralized power supply.
"For parents of children on mechanical ventilation, a power outage is not a domestic inconvenience, but a real threat to a child's life," said Natalia Savina, head of social projects at the Synodal Department of Charity and head of the Professionals 2.0 project. — Thanks to the support of the Presidential Grants Fund, we have managed to provide such families with reliable backup power sources. At the same time, the project makes it possible to quickly cover other vital needs of children and young people with disabilities — to purchase medicines, specialized meals, and pay for rehabilitation. It is targeted assistance that makes it possible to support each family, taking into account its specific situation."
In total, from February to July 2026, 19 families with children or young people with disabilities received targeted assistance within the framework of the Professionals 2.0 project. More than one million rubles have been allocated for medicines, equipment and rehabilitation services.
