The purpose of the creators of the photo exhibition is to draw the attention of modern people to the importance and depth of the Divine Liturgy as the central divine service during which the main Sacrament of the Orthodox Church, the Eucharist, takes place. Using the example of the ministry of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, viewers will get an idea of the sequence of the Divine Liturgy, its key moments, and experience the scale and significance of the Primate's ministry, which is revealed not only in prayer, but also in the works of faith. The same purpose is served by the theological, historical and semantic texts accompanying the photo exhibition, as well as links in the form of QR codes to the audio guide for the exhibition, developed by the Logos educational center of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese.
The exhibition was prepared by the Press Service of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia and the Synodal Department for Church-Society Relations and the Media of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2024 for the 15th anniversary of the enthronement of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. The exhibition has visited more than one Russian city, and it will be presented in Belarus for the first time. For this purpose, the Synodal Information Department of the Belarusian Exarchate has supplemented it with photographs taken during the visits of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill to Belarus.
The exhibition was prepared by the press service of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, the Synodal Department for Church-Society Relations and the Media with the support of the Pyotr Baryshnikov Foundation for the Development of Art and Photography, the Russian Peace Foundation, the ProLab Center, the Minsk Diocese of the Belarusian Exarchate, the Synodal Information Department of the Belarusian Exarchate and the Kovcheg Cultural Spiritual and Educational Center under the St. Elizabeth Convent in Minsk.
