Heroes of Primorye in Vladivostok discussed the history of Church-state relations with Metropolitan Pavel

On June 3, a lesson for participants of the Heroes of Primorye regional program was held in the Church Assembly hall of the Transfiguration Cathedral in Vladivostok. The conversation was conducted by Metropolitan Pavel of Vladivostok and Primorsky, a member of the Public Council of this program.
The meeting was devoted to the topic "The history of Church-State relations." The Archpastor told the audience about the key stages of cooperation between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Russian state. Vladyka Pavel highlighted the role of the Church in the formation of Russian statehood, during the years of trials and in times of peace, as well as the importance of spiritual unity for strengthening the country.
At the end of the meeting, Metropolitan Pavel presented each participant with a book "Orthodoxy in Primorye," which introduces the history and current state of church life in the region.
