With the blessing of Metropolitan Silouan of the Lebanese Mountains, a festive concert dedicated to the feast of the Epiphany of the Lord according to the New Julian calendar and the Nativity of Christ was held at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in the city of Bhamdoun (Lebanon) on January 11, 2025. The festive concert was attended by choirs of the parish of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior and the Metochion of the Russian Orthodox Church in Beirut.
The choirs performed Christmas and Epiphany hymns, according to the Courtyard's website.
The event was attended by Metropolitan Silouan of the Lebanese Mountains, Lebanese Minister of Culture Muhammad Al Murtada, rector of the local parish Archpriest Sigam George Jabour, Lebanese MPs Cesar Abi Khalil and Nazih Matta, Third Secretary of the Russian Embassy, Attache for Culture and Sports A.A. Dvornikov, Director of the Russian House in Beirut A.A. Sorokin.
Russian Russian Orthodox Church's centuries-old ties with the Antiochian Orthodox Church were highlighted by Metropolitan Silouan in his speech after the concert, and he also stressed that the support of the Russian Church in the current difficult time for Lebanon is especially valuable. His Eminence pointed out that he knows the local community of the Metochion well and often leads joint worship services, noting that through interaction with the rector and parishioners, he is deeply connected with the Russian Church.
In conclusion, Metropolitan Silouan expressed gratitude to Archimandrite Philip (Vasiltsev), representative of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia to the Patriarch of Great Antioch and All the East, rector of the Metochion of the Russian Orthodox Church in Beirut, for attending the event, and also thanked the choir of the Metochion for participating in the concert.

Metropolitan Elijah (Karam) of the Lebanese Mountains, revered in the Russian Orthodox Church, is buried under the throne of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Bhamdun.
