With the blessing of the Patriarchal Vicar of the Moscow Metropolitanate, Metropolitan Pavel of Krutitsky and Kolomna, the Moscow Regional regional branch of the Brotherhood of Orthodox Pathfinders announced the start of recruitment for the courses of the heads of units of the autumn stream in 2026.
This is a unique educational program for participants over the age of 16, aimed at training spiritually mature, competent squad leaders who are able to lead children and teenagers in the spirit of the Orthodox faith, patriotism and service to one's neighbor.
The courses are intended for Sunday school teachers and staff responsible for youth ministry in parishes, leaders of parish clubs and groups for children and youth, as well as for all concerned Christian priests and laypeople who work with children or want to start this ministry.
The training includes face-to-face meetings, online classes and final practical assessment. 
The number of places for full-time participation is limited (up to 25 people). Priority is given to new leaders planning to open teams, as well as participants from Moscow and the Moscow region. Current instructors who have already completed BPS course training do not need this course.
The program includes theoretical and practical parts, as well as joint online lectures by invited specialists and instructors from Moscow and Yekaterinburg.

• the history of scouting (world, Russian, BPS);
• Scouting method and patrol system;
• symbolism, structure, traditions;
• Orthodox pedagogy, age psychology;
• organization of meetings, camps and calendar-thematic planning;
• Safety, legal aspects and work with parents;
• Game technique;
• Bonfires and ceremonies;
• organization of the life of the squad;
• Tourism and equipment.
Face-to-face sessions include:
• Drill and rituals;
• a workshop on organizing a squad meeting;
• Master classes;
• Games;
• Bonfire workshop;
• patrol tasks, quests, field activities;
• A spiritual program.
The final of the course will be the final meeting, in which the cadets will organize a single event headquarters. They will independently plan, organize and conduct the final gathering for the trackers, demonstrating their skills in practice.
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates receive a certificate of completion of the course, which gives them the right to lead a BPS detachment (by decision of the regional head). The cadets will also receive a course patch, a course tie and a BPS T-shirt.
The activities of the Brotherhood of Orthodox Pathfinders are carried out with the blessing of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church.
