At the request of the head of the Grayvoronsky district of the Belgorod region, D.A. Pankov, the Patriarchal Humanitarian Mission, together with the Marfo-Mariinsky Sisterhood of the Belgorod Diocese, purchased and handed over 1,500 sheets of eight-wave slate for the restoration of houses damaged by shelling.
The settlements of the Grayvoronsky district remain one of the most heavily shelled in the Belgorod region. Almost every day, civilian homes are attacked by enemy drones.
Despite the logistical difficulties, representatives of the municipal administration have already handed over slate to the affected residents of the villages of Dunayka, Moshenoe, Doroshch, Sankovo, Smorodino, Pochaevo.
"The residents of Grayvoronsky district are very grateful to His Holiness the Patriarch for the fact that the Russian Orthodox Church is with us in this very difficult period, both in their prayers and in real help," said A.G. Chernov, Mayor of Grayvorona. "With God's help, helping each other, we will definitely overcome all difficulties."
