Participants of the All-Russian automobile procession "Russia under Cover" brought icons of the Mother of God "Troeruchitsa" and "Patron Saints of Entrepreneurs" for Novosibirsk residents to worship. A prayer service in front of the shrines took place on August 9 in the Cathedral of the Holy Prince Alexander Nevsky in Novosibirsk.
On the same day, a conference was held at the Diocesan House for representatives of the regional business community, where issues of preserving traditional values, the role of Orthodoxy in society and possible areas of cooperation between Church and state were discussed.
Official meetings have become an important part of the program. In the government of the Novosibirsk Region, the participants of the procession held talks with Roman Burdin, Minister of Regional Policy.
A meeting with Metropolitan Bartholomew of Novosibirsk and Berdsk was also held at the Novosibirsk Diocesan Administration. During the dialogue, the parties touched upon the topics of social service, educational projects and support for cultural initiatives, as well as the possibility of holding joint events.
The events within the framework of the procession provoked a noticeable response from the residents of the city and strengthened the interaction between the Church, authorities and society.
