On September 21-22, 2026, with the blessing of Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk, Chairman of the Synodal Department for Cooperation with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies, Priest Philip Bakhtin, Head of the Youth Affairs Section of the Synodal Department, held working meetings with the leadership of the Military Sports Training and Patriotic Education Center for Youth "Warrior".
The first meeting was held at the organization's central office in Moscow. During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for further cooperation, as well as organizational mechanisms for joint specialized events.
The discussion continued in Donetsk, where Priest Philip Bakhtin met with the leadership of the regional branch of the "Warrior" center. The participants defined the formats of joint cooperation and reached agreements on practical cooperation on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic.
During the talks, it was emphasized that the joint efforts of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Military Sports Training Center are crucial for the spiritual, moral and patriotic education of the younger generation. The parties noted that the inculcation of traditional values among young people and the formation of a solid spiritual foundation is an essential condition for the training of future defenders of the Fatherland.
Following the meetings, the participants confirmed their readiness for comprehensive and long-term cooperation.
