From September 21 to October 10, 2026, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, the incorruptible right hand of St. Spyridon of Trimifunt, revered by millions of Orthodox believers around the world, is brought to the borders of the Kazakhstan Metropolitan Area.
The bringing of the right hand of the Trimifunt Wonderworker to Kazakhstan is carried out thanks to the support of the Eleos-Meirim Public Foundation headed by President V.M. Kapsamun.
On September 23, the shrine was delivered to the St. Michael the Archangel Cathedral in Uralsk, where Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan celebrated the Divine Liturgy.
More than 13,000 people worshiped the relics of the great Saint of Christ in the capital of Western Kazakhstan. Among the pilgrims were representatives of the Old Believers and other traditional Christian denominations.
On September 24, at noon, after the final prayer service, the ark with the shrine was transported to Ust-Kamenogorsk.
The incorruptible right hand of Saint Spyridon is accompanied on the pilgrimage by: Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan; head of the administrative secretariat of the head of the Metropolitan District, Priest Georgy Sidorov and head of the Metropolitan Protocol service, Protodeacon Roman Golovin; representatives of the Kerkyra Metropolia of the Greek Orthodox Church, led by Protopresbyters Evangelos Koutras and Thomas Kostamonitis. In Uralsk, Bishop Vianor of Ural and Atyrau joined the accompanying delegation.
