The Orthodox relief service Mercy on Don, operating under the social department of the Rostov Diocese, handed over 6,600 kilograms of potatoes to those in need. The help was donated by Energia LLC.
The staff and volunteers of the assistance service organized the logistics and distribution of potatoes. Several vehicles were used for transportation: potatoes were first unloaded at an intermediate point, then delivered to addresses in small batches, including with the involvement of volunteer transport. Loading and distribution took place in a short time.
Among the recipients of assistance are the Soul of Donbass Charitable Center located in Shakhtersk, the Nikolsky Monastery near Ugledar, the Alexandria Shelter for Mothers with Children, the Donskoy Monastery men's Social shelter, the Central City Polyclinic of Novocherkassk, the Feeding the Homeless project of the volunteers of Mercy of the church in honor of the Blessed Prince Alexander Nevsky, and conflict zones in need. Vegetables were also delivered to the Iversky Monastery and the Donskoy Theological Seminary.
