On June 20, 2026, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia arrived in the Republic of Belarus on a Primatial visit.
The Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church is accompanied by Metropolitan Grigory of Voskresensk, Managing Director of the Moscow Patriarchate, Bishop Alexy of Ramenskoye, Personal Secretary of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill, Archpriest Andrey Bondarenko, head of the Patriarchal Protocol Service, and N.I. Derzhavin, Deputy head of the Press Service of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia.
At the Brest airport, His Holiness was met by the Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, Metropolitan Veniamin of Minsk and Zaslavl, Archbishop John of Brest and Kobrin, Bishop Auxentius of Nesvizh, and the clergy of the Brest diocese. The Governor of the Brest Region, P.A. Parkhomchik, the Commissioner for Religious and Ethnic Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, A.A. Rumak, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Belarus, B.V. Gryzlov, were also among the greeters.
During his visit, on June 21, the 3rd Week after Pentecost, the day of the Council of Belarusian Saints, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill will celebrate the Divine Liturgy at the Resurrection Cathedral in Brest. In the early morning of June 22, on the territory of the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial Complex, the Primate of the Russian Church will take part in a funeral rally dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War and the memory of the fallen heroes-defenders of the Fatherland.
