On Saturday of the 1st week of Great Lent, the feast of the finding of the relics of the Blessed Matrona of Moscow (1998), March 8, 2025, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia visited the Pokrovsky Stavropol Convent in the Russian capital.
At the gates of the monastery, His Holiness was met by the abbess of the monastery, Abbess Theophania (Miskina), with the sisters of the monastery, pupils of the monastery orphanage, as well as the chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, L.E. Slutsky. 
Upon arrival at the monastery, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill bowed to the venerable relics of the blessed old woman resting in the Intercession Church and said a prayer.
Then, in the Church of the Resurrection of the Living, the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church celebrated the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom.
The church was attended by a delegation of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church led by Metropolitan Juhanon Mar Demetrios of Delhi and Metropolitan Geevargis Mar Julios of Kunnamkulam, who arrived in Russia for the feast of the Blessed Matrona of Moscow.
Abbess of the Pokrovsky Stavropol Monastery Abbess Feofania (Miskina), residents of the Pokrovsky Monastery, pupils of the monastery orphanage for girls, benefactors, and numerous believers prayed during the divine service.
Liturgical hymns were performed by the choir of the Pokrovsky Monastery under the direction of O.Y. Egorova. 
The Liturgy was broadcast live on Soyuz and Spas TV channels, as well as on the official website of the Russian Orthodox Church. Патриархия.ги . The broadcast was shown on large screens installed on the territory of the monastery. 
At the special litany, special petitions were offered, and the Primate of the Russian Church read a prayer for Holy Russia. 
The Primate of the Russian Church addressed the participants of the divine service with a Primatial address.
His Holiness Patriarch Kirill also welcomed the delegation of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.: "I would like to cordially welcome our distinguished guests from India, representing the Malankara Church, with which I am very closely associated, because, as rector of the Theological Academy, I participated in the education of many representatives of this Church, including the bishops. His Holiness congratulated Abbess Theophania on the 30th anniversary of her service as abbess of the Pokrovsky Monastery and presented her with a commemorative cross with decorations. 
As a gift to the monastery, the Primate of the Russian Church gave the icon of the Mother of God "The Sign", as well as collections of his sermons "Imitate your mentors."
"Once again, my dear ones, I congratulate all of you on this holiday, especially Mother Abbess, on the 30th anniversary of her stay in this wonderful place as abbess of the holy monastery.
