On October 28, a practical seminar "From idea to result: how to plan and manage a project" was held in Yekaterinburg. The meeting was held as part of the XVII Interregional Conference on Church Social Service.
The seminar was conducted by Olga Varganova, head of the Mercy of the Volga Region Resource Center, Curator of social activities at the Synodal Department for Charity in the Volga Federal District and the LPR. Together with Irina Muravyeva, Head of the Project Management and Strategic Planning Department of the Orthodox Mercy Service of Yekaterinburg, she spoke about the organization of social projects.
The participants reviewed the main tasks of the head: defining goals in accordance with the mission of the organization, finding resources, forming a team, adapting and accompanying employees. Special attention was paid to the willingness to make decisions and take responsibility for them.
Olga Varganova emphasized that project management begins with the ability to organize your own work. "Learn to manage yourself, then you can move on and go into managing other people," she said.
The XVII Interregional Conference on Church Social Service is being held in Yekaterinburg from October 27 to October 30 with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. The forum brought together more than 360 participants — representatives of church social departments, volunteer services, sisterhoods of mercy, charity projects and government authorities.
