On November 18, the ark with the relics of the Great Martyr George the Victorious, delivered as part of the "All-Russian Prayer for Victory" campaign, was solemnly welcomed in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior of Kaliningrad. Metropolitan Seraphim of the Baltic and Svetlogorsk, Patriarchal vicar of the Kaliningrad Metropolia, installed an ark with relics in the center of the temple, after which, in the concelebration of the diocesan clergy, he performed an akathist chant to the Great Martyr George.
In the solemn meeting of the ark with the relics of St. vmch. Governor of the Kaliningrad Region Anton Andreevich Alikhanov also took part in St. George the Victorious.
Akathists will serve in front of the shrine all the time the relics are in the temple.
The ark with the relics of the saint from May to November 2023, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, was brought to 100 cities of Russia from the Holy Trinity Sergius Lavra to the parishes of 89 regions of the Russian Federation, where prayers for victory were held in front of the shrine.
