...Today, on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the Peter and Paul Cathedral, completely different people gathered here. There are those among us who once began to pray for this temple to come back to life; who later began to serve here; who worked and continue to work on the restoration of the shrine. And as we pray together here today, we realize how important it is to support each other. We thank God that a wide variety of people, driven by love for the Almighty Creator, love for their Homeland and hometown, bring this temple back to life.

Metropolitan Kirill welcomed the archpastors who had arrived in Kazan to participate in the celebrations marking the 300th anniversary of the Peter and Paul Cathedral.
