The last volunteer construction team in the last labor season with the participation of African seminarians was held in the village of Borovitsy, Yaroslavl region.
For the 8th season, volunteers from the Zhar-Ptitsa Russian-Chinese Cultural Center have been carrying out conservation work at the Church of St. Ignatius the God-Bearer in Borovitsy.
This time, seven seminarians from Uganda, Kenya and Angola took part in the construction team.
During the shift, the participants managed to completely complete the blind area around the temple, finishing it at the northern wall of the quadrangle. In addition, the last trees and stumps were removed and removed from the temple grounds, and the temple itself was cleaned from inside and outside of plants, roots and debris.
During his free hours, the rector of the church, Priest Igor Baranov, conducted master classes on bell ringing for young people.
Tea parties and excursions were also organized for the children.
During the shift period, the volunteers visited Rostov Veliky, Pereslavl-Zalessky and Kostroma, where they got acquainted with local shrines.
