On July 24-30, 2026, with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia, a delegation of the Antiochian Orthodox Church visited Russia. It includes Metropolitan Silouan of the Mountains of Lebanon, Metropolitan Anthony of Zahle and Baalbek, and Archimandrite Jeremiah (Azzam), a cleric of the Metropolitan Archdiocese of Zahle.
In Moscow, representatives of the Antiochian Patriarchate visited the Moscow Patriarchate's Department for External Church Relations, where they met with Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk, Chairman of the DECR. The guests also visited the Danilov, Sretensky and Novospassky monasteries, the Novodevichy and Pokrovsky women's monasteries, the Epiphany Cathedral in Yelokhovo and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. They venerated the relics of Saint Alexy Mechev and Blessed Matrona of Moscow.
On July 26, the hierarchs took part in the celebrations on the occasion of the patronal feast of the Antiochian Metochion in Moscow. They celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Archangel Gabriel together with Metropolitan Anthony of Volokolamsk and Metropolitan Niphon of Philippopolis, representative of the Patriarch of Antioch and All the East to the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia.
On July 28, the feast day of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir and the feast of the Baptism of Rus, Metropolitan Anthony of Zahle and Baalbek and Archimandrite Jeremiah participated in the Divine Liturgy celebrated by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill at the Assumption Cathedral in the Moscow Kremlin.
During the visit, the guests also visited St. Tikhon's Orthodox University for the Humanities, the Moscow Theological Academy and the Trinity-Sergius Lavra. At the monastery, they worshiped the relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh and the icon of the Holy Trinity, and also met with the vicar of the lavra and rector of the Moscow Theological Academy, Bishop Kirill of Sergiev Posad and Dmitrov.
Metropolitan Silouan of the Lebanese Mountains concluded his visit on July 26. Metropolitan Anthony of Zahle and Baalbek and Archimandrite Jeremiah left Russia on July 30.
