Celebrations on the occasion of the All-Russian Youth Day were held at the Krutitsky Patriarchal Compound in Moscow on June 27, 2026. The event was organized by the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs.
The holiday began with the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Parishioners and young guests of the courtyard prayed during the divine service. The Address of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill on the occasion of the celebration of the All-Russian Youth Day was read out.
At the end of the Liturgy, the staff of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs were awarded diplomas of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation for many years of conscientious work on the spiritual and moral education of young people.
The central cultural event of the day was the opening of the graphic art exhibition "Air of the White Sheet", which was based on works from the private collection of Vadim Stepanov, Chairman of the Expert Council of the Synodal Department for Youth Affairs. The metropolitan chambers of the metochion presented works by both novice authors and recognized masters — honored and folk artists of the Russian Federation. Visitors were able to get acquainted with a variety of graphic techniques, including etching, lithography, linocut, woodcut.
An excursion organized by the Museum of Military History took place as part of the festive program. The guests got acquainted with the architectural ensemble of the courtyard: they learned about the history of Krutitskaya Sloboda, the appearance of the courtyard complex in the XVI-XVII centuries, walked through the Assumption passages, the Teremka and the Palace of the Metropolitans. The participants of the tour were told how several generations of restorers managed to save the temples of Krutitsy and restore the historical appearance of the courtyard.
