Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' has awarded Russian Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova the Order of Saint Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna, Second Class, in recognition of her contribution to the development of relations between the Russian Orthodox Church and the state.

The award ceremony took place at the Patriarchal and Synodal Residence in Moscow's Danilov Monastery, the press service of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Rus' said.

According to the statement, the decoration was presented "in recognition of her contribution to the development of church-state relations" and on the occasion of a significant milestone related to Golikova's birthday.

Golikova has served as Russia's deputy prime minister since 2018, overseeing the government's social policy portfolio, including healthcare, education, culture, demographic policy, science, and social welfare. Before assuming her current position, she headed Russia's Accounts Chamber and previously served for more than a decade as minister of health and social development.

The Order of Saint Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna was established by the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society in honor of Saint Elizabeth Feodorovna, the founder of the Martha and Mary Convent of Mercy, who was killed during the Russian Revolution. The award is presented to clergy and laypeople for achievements in charity, social service, humanitarian work, and contributions to church and public life. Patriarch Kirill serves as chairman of the society's committee of honorary members.

Recipients of the decoration have included public officials, leaders of charitable organizations, physicians, philanthropists, and cultural figures recognized for their contributions to social service and cooperation between the Church and the state.

In 2025, the Order of Saint Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna, Second Class, was awarded to Russia's then-Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova. In 2024, Federation Council Chair Valentina Matviyenko received the First Class of the order.
